I was planning to regurgitate the run-down of Spring fashion trends you can expect to see on the streets in the upcoming months. Ever the trend cynic, however, I’m not in the mood to promote big stripes, fluorescents and futurey geometric shapes. So, I’ll just leave you with one trend I know will be worth the investment and you can probably already pluck from your closet. Not to mention, it looks great with our jewelry. Whites.

Today we’re going to talk about two of our favorite things: sweaters and skirts! While most of America is starting to experience true fall weather, here in Texas it takes a while for things to cool down. So instead of jumping right into layers of sweaters and jackets, we have to fulfill our cool-weather craving by mixing summer and fall staples. One of my favorite transitional looks is sweaters over flirty skirts. This is a) more comfortable than just a blouse and b) really easy to dress up or down. Plus, once it does get a bit cooler- tights, boots, and scarves, mixed with some really great jewelry will make you feel as cool as you did in the summer! Here are some ideas:

There’s nothing better than having that one comfy “t” that goes with everything (and we don’t mean with sweatpants). As you’ve probably noticed by now, we’re a huge fan of this thing called “arm parties” (see here and here) which was coined by our other favorite thing, The Man Repeller (see here). Not that stacking bracelets is a new thing, but it has become some sort of art form to see how many bracelets you can rock without loosing function in your wrists! Although sometimes it looks unpractical, adding some arm candy to your look is a great way of to express your personal style and taste.
