A Lesson in Fast Fashion

If you’ve seen The Devil Wears Prada, then you probably remember this little speech from Miranda Priestly:

“And then it, uh, filtered down through the department stores and then trickled on down into some tragic Casual Corner where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin”

Although a bit harsh at the time (poor Andy) it holds some truth about the industry. The trickle-down of fashion is a pretty interesting one to watch. If you’re like me, you find entertainment (and bargains!) out of seeing how quickly retailers can recreate another designer’s work.
