Did you know that Maya Lin designed the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC? Not only did we not know this, but we were also surprised and ashamed that we didn’t know that the great monument was designed by a woman. Well now we all know!

Maya Lin is also the niece of Lin Huiyin, who’s credited as being the first female architect in China. Pretty impressive family, I’d say!
